Good Evening Makos,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial's Day!  As you know Shark-A-Thon is scheduled for Tuesday June 7th!  Shark-A-Thon is our team fundraiser in which swimmers raise money by collecting sponsors and/ or pledges for swimming a predetermined number of laps during their practice time. 

This year our goal is to earn enough sponsors and pledges to purchase new pool lane lines.  The current lines we are using are in bad shape!  Sturdy lane lines are important to allow for turbulence control the entire length of the lane, eliminating dead spots and water bounce back.  This is very important to assure our swimmers can practice and swim across the pools safely with the least amount of resistance!  All swimmers are expected to participate.  

The Shark-A-Thon Information and Pledge Sheet is attached.  An additional pledge sheet is included for swimmers who have more than one pledge.  

Just Few Reminders:

1.  All Shark Level Donations payments must be submitted by June 7th to Teresa Lucas or a Board Member and this may be counted as a pledge for your entire family.  However swimmers are still expected to swim their laps on Shark-A-Thon day.   Make sure to put family name on the form.  

2.  Please submit your pledge form for each swimmer by June 7th during your swimmer's practice.   Additional pledges are optional but we strongly encourage additional pledges to secure meeting our goal!  

3. Only Mako Families may pay pledges using Venmo and must be paid on Shark-A-Thon day, June 7th after laps are totaled.  Pledges after your swimmer's Shark-A-Thon event must be paid by check or cash.  Outside donors must submit payment by check or cash.  

4.  All pledges must be paid by June 11th to Teresa Lucas or a Board Member.  Submit additional pledge forms with payments.  

5.  If your swimmer practices in the evenings, they may complete their event during the Tuesday, June 7th evening practice and payments can be made that time.  A board member will be present.
