Meet Sign Up/Declaration

All swimmers must declare/register for each meet on the Makos website. Swimmers not declaring entry will be considered not attending and will not be entered into the meet. It is extremely important we are aware if a swimmer is not attending a meet because of the potential impact to relays.

Meet Entries (Entered by Coaching Staff)

Each swimmer can be entered in as many as five (5) events. A swimmer may participate in no more than three (3) individual events and up to two (2) relays. Relay entries are determined by the coaching staff and are based on individual times (see Relays section). You may request events when you declare meet attendance on the website but understand the coaches will make the final determination on entries for all swimmers and their decision is final.

INSTRUCTIONS for MEET ENTRY

1. Click on the Meets tab in the red bar at the top of the page.
2. A calendar of events will open. All dual meets for this season are currently open for entry. You will see a green box declaring MEET ENTRY Open. Click on the green box next to the meet you are RSVPing for.
3. Your family's swim meet status will open with a list of your swimmers. Under your swimmers' names, click the black EDIT box.
4. A drop-down menu appears to the right of your swimmer's name allowing you to declare that your swimmer will/will not be attending the meet. Select the correct response: 1. Attending this meet 2. Not attending this meet.
5. If your swimmer is attending the meet, additional prompts appear:
   • EVENTS: check the boxes next to the 3 events you'd like your swimmer to enter. The coaches will do their best to grant your requests, but the final decision for entries is up to them.
   • RELAYS: Select the correct response:
     • Available for all relays
     • Arriving late, not available for early relays
     • Leaving early, not available for late relays
     • Not available for any relays.
     • This step is extremely helpful to our team because it allows us to set the relay teams in advance. When swimmers are missing, our team is forced to scramble to find replacement swimmers or to forfeit the relay.
6. Finally, make sure you click SAVE.
