If you are new to Makos or have never attended an invitational meet, you may be asking:

“What is an invitational meet?”

Invitationals are exciting meets that reward the kids with some awesome medals and other fun awards to get them excited about swim! These swim meets require a qualifying time to participate. You may have seen “SIZZ” or “PI” next to your swimmers name in an event they swam at time trials or in our last meet - it indicates that the swimmer has a qualifying time for that invitational. Your swimmer may enter ALL individual events for which they qualify, but they don’t have to. Invitational meets are a great opportunity for our team. We'd love to have as many swimmers attend as possible. Invitational meets build team camaraderie, develop our swimmers, and unify the Makos.
