Pentathlon Invitational - Important Information
Great job today, Makos!! Hopefully, you've seen Coach Jenn mention Pentathlon in the weekly newsletter. Well, it's coming up fast.
**The deadline to RSVP is Monday, June 3rd, at noon!**
🏊 How do swimmers qualify?
- Swimmers must have a legal time for Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. All swimmers 9+ must also have a legal time for IM.
- Add the times of the four strokes plus IM (except for 8 & Under who only add the four strokes). If the time is at or under the qualifying time, then the swimmer qualifies!

**Make sure you add the seconds and then convert to minutes and seconds 😉
🏊 When and where is the meet?
- Sunday, June 9th
- Morning Session at 8:30 - 10 & Under Swimmers
- Afternoon Session ~ 2:00 - 11 & Up Swimmers
- Cy-Fair ISD Natatorium: 12250 Windfern Rd. Houston, TX 77064
**This location is new for this year!**
- Team set up is outside, so bring a tent or share with a team family. Indoor bleachers are for observation only.
🏊 What does it cost to enter?
- $35 per swimmer
- Pay by Venmo to @MakoSharks (write swimmer's name in notes) or by check to CMMS
🏊 How do I RSVP?
- Meet Entry for Pentathlon is on the Mako website under the Meets tab. RSVP as you do for a regular meet.
🏊 Why should my swimmer attend?
- Camaraderie and unity within our team is a huge reason to participate. I've seen swimmers build close relationships with swimmers above, at, or below their age because of attending invitational meets!
- Invitationals build confidence and give swimmers more competition and swim experience. It's an extra meet to achieve swim goals.
- It's so much fun for parents and swimmers!!
Please consider attending Pentathlon. I know it's another weekend day, but if you can make it work for your family, I promise, it's worth it!
🤯 If you need any help figuring out whether your swimmer qualifies, please ask a coach during practice on Monday. They are eager and willing to help you. 😁
