Good Morning Makos Families!

We are so excited about our 2019 Swim Summer League Season and we are hoping all of you will be back for another great summer swim season! First and foremost, the Makos Board is thrilled to introduce our new Head Coach Jenn Smith! We are also pleased to let you know Coach Emi Strautman and Coach Ollie Bernal will be returning for this summer season! We are equally excited to announce that Coach Kylie Snyder will be joining our coaching team this season too! All of our coaches’ bios are posted to the Makos website so check it out under the Coaches & Records tab.

We can’t wait for our first spirit night on Monday, February 25^th at Willie’s Grill & Ice House so you can meet Coach Jenn and we can answer any questions about the upcoming season. Stop by for dinner and when you order at the counter tell Willies you’re with the Mako Sharks and they will donate 15% of your check back to the team!!! Come see your summer league friends AND bring some friends that might want to swim for the Makos! Remember, the Makos is an “open” team, so if you don’t have a swim team in your neighborhood you may swim for the Makos.

We are posting information to the Makos website so check back there frequently for the latest news and events, but here are a few important dates coming up soon so mark your calendar!

• February 25, Willies Spirit Night (see attached flyer for details)
• March 2, Registration at Makos rec center 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• March 23, Registration at Makos rec center 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• April 7, Parent meeting with Coaches, Makos rec center 4:00 p.m.– 6:00 p.m.
• April 15, First day of after school practice, ages 9 and up (practices times to be determined)
• April 22, All age groups after school practice (practice times to be determined)
